And I'm gonna need colors done.  So I'm looking for that guy or girl who is good enough to color Marvel/DC/Image/Dark Horse but still hasn't had the opportunity.  Can't pay until the book is picked up, but it is the intention to make this a regular paid gig.  So as I work on the details and prep for doing my sample pages I'm collecting the names of potential color artists.  Please point me to your portfolio's and all that.  Hopefully, you have some samples of sequential art and IF you don't - it's not too late.  The Comic Colorist Club here on deviantart has plenty of black and white high rez sequential art that you can color to show off your skills.

Working...

1 min read
Taking all commissions.  Pencils.  Inks.  Styles.  Storywork.  Pin-ups.  Whatever.  Contact me to discuss what you need.

In between any commissioned work I'm working on....

MY BOOK!  Which is why I need other pick up jobs here and there.  This book is my project for the next month or so.  It's been on a back burner now for a while but I truly need to finish it so I can move on to my next screenwriting project and my Rain comic series scripts.

(Also still in the market for a literary agent.  Just sayin'.)

Ok, I'm back.  More or less.  I have a couple of looming script deadlines, so I have to deal with those first.  I have two spec scripts I have to write - /ugh.  I really dislike writing those since their only purpose is to prove that I can write to people that in all likelihood I shouldn't have to justify myself to anyway.

Anyway, I have just finished a "cover" style piece of the X-Men.  And I'm damn happy with it.  I haven't actually drawn any of these characters in about 10 years now.  I've NEVER drawn Emma Frost before - but let's face it - she's kinda easy.  Sexy.  Blonde.   Wears white.  Unless it's a dark night scene she'll almost never have hard shadows.  Then of course, there's Scotty and Ororo.  Both of whom primarily wear darkish colors.  And in the current piece I did Scotty is all firing his optic blast - which was fun in itself as I chose NOT to go the typical route with his beams.  Most artists that I see exercising Scott's ability tend to ruler his beams into a very straight energy discharge.  I thought it would be more interesting to get away from that look and make them look a little more chaotic.

Anyway, enough of that prattling on.  My special effects work on Cross is all finished.  Cross (being distributed by Sony), was written and produced by myself with my associates John Sachar and Patrick Durham.  It features Brian Austin Green as a gun toting superhero in Los Angeles.   Vinnie Jones and Michael Clarke Duncan portray his antagonists and Brian gets some help from his friends including the one and only Jake Busey.

Anyway, look for it - buy it please.  :)

And I'm back on commissions.

Something like the X-Men image I just posted is around 500$.

Something like the Clark image is more like 70$.

Let me know.

I have a gig right now doing some rush SFX for a feature film for Sony right now so - commissions are off for a little while.  All I do is sleep, eat and breath these SFX shots I'm working on.

Will post when I'm back open for bidness!
